Gettin worried about this CM situation
No link to any players and I sure as hell don't want us to play on Saturday with no cutting edge of defence spitting passes AGAIN

Believable2 Unbelievable4

You need to face up to the fact we WON'T have a new cm for the weekend. Why panic the window hasn't shut, we will get someone in even if it's on deadline day!

Agree4 Disagree1

Even if we got someone in today they wouldn't play Saturday. We will not lose, trust me. JC Fulwell

Agree5 Disagree2

Even if it is a rumour it has to surface off somewhere (sources, websites)
Or you just made it up yourself!

Agree0 Disagree0

Think that one is meant for the one below

Agree0 Disagree0

Think we will do a fulham one nil away to southampton fletch to score

Agree1 Disagree3

Fletch isn't fit! Won't even be on the bench! I do think the way we play is better suited to playing away, hopefully jozy can play more facing goal rather than with his back to it. 0-2 jozy with both.

Agree4 Disagree2

Fletcher won't be playing though will he

Agree4 Disagree1

You can bet that a lot of players will move on the last day of the transfer window!. so I doubt if this club will be different!

People been sayin that we are in for Sigurdsson and Kovačić, these would be great signings but there is no backup to this, for the people spreading these rumours can you tell us the source and website coz there is no point getting people's hopes up

Believable3 Unbelievable4

That's what this site is all about mate. RUMOURS!

When Fletch is back I think we will play 4-1-2-1-2

Westwood
Celustka. Roberge. O'Shea. Colback

Cabral

Johnson. Giaccherini

Sessegnon

Fletcher. Altidore

Believable4 Unbelievable8

No
He's already said that he wants a playmaker and a left back
And for that to happen he will have to sell Sess

He will play an attacking formation of 4-2-2-2
____________Westwood___________________O'Shea_____Roberge______Celutska___________________New LB

______Playmaker___Cabral_________

Johnson________________Giaccherini

_______Fletcher____Altidore________

Agree5 Disagree3

Looks perfect

Agree4 Disagree1

Roberge is not starting 11 when everyone is fit I think diakite will be personally I dontvthink sess will be starting 11 either so I think you will see a similar starting line up to what we saw against Fulham

Westwood
Celustka oshea diakite colback
Johnson creative midfielder cabral giachrinni

Fletcher altidore

Altidore more than happy to drop off hold the ball up and get the ball out wide with Fletcher doing what he does best I reckon 20 goals for fletch and 10/15 altidore if all goes to plan

Agree13 Disagree1

Well you certainly cannot fault the attacking intent, but FIVE forwards? Just a tad imbalanced in my opinion.

Agree3 Disagree3

Any news when flech will be back?

Agree2 Disagree0

Itl ltake a while for Fletch to get going after a serious ankle injury!

Agree3 Disagree0

Rob r12 we will have 6 players defending (if you count the keeper) and 5 attakers how is that unbalanced

7SAFC7

Agree2 Disagree1

Sess isn't going anywhere

Agree0 Disagree1

Roberge was one of the top boys on saturday he didn't put a foot wrong against fulham apart from the goal which he was punished for. Berbatov was scared to go near him!

Dave the mackem

Agree3 Disagree1

Have a feeling that Roberge will become one of the bargains of the season!

Agree2 Disagree0

7SAFC7. I see where you are coming from but you are asking an awful lot of Cabral to hold together a shape in midfield.
I am in no way saying you are wrong or it would not work but I guess you are looking at Sess alongside Cabral but I don't think he is an out and out midfield player. You need the midfielder who can both break up play and support the attack. If a team man-marked Sess then we would be goosed. GOOD POST THOUGH ALL THE SAME AND IF SUCH A SIDE BROUGHT SAFC THE SUCCESS WE ALL CRAVE THEN I WOULD BE THE FIRST TO ACKNOWLEDGE YOU.

Agree1 Disagree0

Paolo said he wants to play an attacking 4-2-4 formation.
I think next lineup is:
Westwood
Celutska Roberge O'Shea Colback
Cabral. Rodwell
Johnson. Altidore Wickham. Giaccherini
Bench:
Mannone
Diakite
Mavrias
Ji
Mandron
Gardner
Sessegnon

Hopefully we can get rodwell

{Ed024's Note - No plays 424 anymore !!!!!}

Executives from sunderland have meet juventus mangement today to sort out a deal for paulo de ceglie and fabio quagliarella.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

Is this quagliarella amy good?

Agree4 Disagree1

I do hope this if true!

Weve signed Mavaris on a 4 year deal 3 million euro + a 5% sell on fee!

Hopefully if Arsenal beat Fenerbache tonight it will help us signing Moussa Sow. No UCL football means they will need the money and the player would favour the move more. Quality player

Believable8 Unbelievable5

They'd still be in europe though you crank, they're getting banned anyway so that's always good for our chances

well just heard vaughan has gone to wigan he wants to be back down there now and another to go is mandron to oldam (loan) and we looking at Mateo Kovačić
inter milan but they want a loan deal and we want to buy preferably

Believable3 Unbelievable5

All International loans have an agreed fee to sell.

Agree3 Disagree0

Would love kovacevic he could turn out to be the signing if the season if we get him he can play with both feet and has a great eye for a pass hopefully this is true, loan or buy would do me as long as we get him for a season!

Agree3 Disagree0

So many names are being mentioned on this site and has turned out not to be true, so please can you give us the website or source to back up your point please

what worrys me and something I think should also worry di canio and co is that our neighbours could be selling there playmaker, meaning they too would also be in the market for the same player but with more money to spend (if ashley gives pardew some money to spend from the proposed sale of cabeye) personally the sooner we get one in the better, but at the same time it has to be a quality player. I also like the look of this new lad coming in from greece. can't do us any harm having attacking options in my opinion.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Ashley ain't exactly known for using whatever money comes in to spend on new faces. Thankfully.

Agree2 Disagree0

Its all right PDC bringing in 11+ players but numbers is fine but in the Premiership its quality that counts! and my worry is that PDC will change players for change sake rather than keep one settled team!

Agree1 Disagree2

I think Mavrias and Jonno on the wings with Giaccherini playing through the centre.

Agree4 Disagree1

When have we been blessed with quality, he's the first manager to get us playing football since peter reid. Give him a chance

Agree2 Disagree0

I think Di Canio has proven he isn't changing things for change sake, he's never shied away from justifying his decisions since he's joined and I saw improvements all over the pitch in our first game, i'm absolutely delighted with the effort and quality Di Canio is putting into the job as well as his new backroom staff.

Agree2 Disagree0

Peter reid had us playin football! Give me a break! He played route one to quinny luckily at the time we had arguably the best headerer of the ball and one of the best finishers, he never had us playin 'football' at all otherwise he would still be managing us, quinny retired and phillips left so we were proverbly 'f*****'!

Agree2 Disagree4

Sorry but I have to disagree, reid did play good football, schwarz, rae, gray, johnson, summerbee, hutchison, roy, phillips, all good footballers, even quinny was good with his feet. tk73

Agree3 Disagree0

Too many in the Wheatsheaf b4 the game mate! Of course Reid's team played football, were you there?

Agree2 Disagree0

Agree with the last comment. Reidy had us playing some of the BEST football I have ever seen Sunderland play in 47 years but I cannot let the moment pass without the highlight of my day HEADERER!! You couldn't make it up!

Agree1 Disagree0

Gray and makin 2 good wing backs with sumerbee and Johnson on the wings can't remember hoofball mate

Agree1 Disagree0

But that's in the first division, yes I was there I've been a season ticket holder since I was 5 and I've also seen the team deteriorate because he only had 1 idea in his head LUMP!

Papers reporting £5m for Scott Sinclair to Southampton and Loan for Buttner to Besiktas. Left back and winger that would fit our requirements.

We need to close out whatever deals we are working on quickly so we don't pay over the odds or miss out on the last day!

Believable2 Unbelievable7

There doesn't seem to be a priority for a left back why is PDC fiddling about with midfield players rather than a left back we desperately need!

Agree1 Disagree5

Explain why my post is unbelievable please whoever clicked it?

Those 2 players are young and would fit the PDC mould and at those prices would be viable options. If you think not explain why please?

Also, for the second part, why should we not close deals out quickly to avoid said higher prices or misses on the last day?

Agree1 Disagree6

We are not "desperate" for a leftback IMO, Colback is doing just fine, look at the fulham game, Duff on the wing didn't get a sniff all game, he was absolutely dominated. A creative midfielder is what we are desperately lacking atm.

Agree2 Disagree1

Duff is so slow that he gathers dust, any winger with a bit of pace and colback is toast

Agree3 Disagree2

I think Colback will be fine at LB but he wants to play CM. I would get a LWB to link up with Italian Jack and use Colback alongside Cabral.

We could then play a 4-2-3-1 formation with Sess, AJ and EG behind Altidore / Fletcher

Agree1 Disagree4

Eh i'm sorry WE are desperate for a left back in fact for the last 2 seasons for a permanment one excluding Rose. and the right back we have is on loan aswell! defensively we need to be sorted first before the manager tinkers with the midfield!

Agree2 Disagree1

And what happens if Colback is injured? who do we put in there?

Agree2 Disagree1

Yes I agree, if colback gets injured we are buggered. BUT as it stands at the moment, we are not lacking in that area and as you could see from the Fulham game (if you where there) we are SERIOUSLY lacking a creative spark from CM.

Agree1 Disagree0

Any winger with a bit of pace and he's toast? You obviously didn't watch the asia cup game against spurs, colback outpaced lennon and pushed walker off the ball with ease. Stop talking rubbish.

Agree2 Disagree0

If anyone was at the game Saturday you would have seen Fulham play with 9 men behind the ball our next home games the teams won't be coming to defend and colback will get butchered and on Saturday I didn't like how he kept getting himself dragged in to the middle a left back and a creative midfielder is what we should be looking at and for a striker give ji wickham or mandron a start against southampton

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes I was at Fulham game!. Larsson isn't a central midfielder that stood out a mile. why doesn't PDC see that!
