I think if we were to bring in another left back, we could maybe try PVA just ahead of that player. Maybe not as an out and out attacking winger, but a left midfielder. I think he is much better on the ball than off, and will run at the defenders given the chance. This would also mean we could put lens up front with Defoe, whom I think would be our best strike partnership rather than same old fletcher or graham, with Defoe out on the wing or whatever. And as the season progresses we should also keep playing Watmore, giving him more time each game and easing him into the squad, rather than suddenly putting the pressure on him to be our saviour. Thoughts?

I like the cut of your jib- Think Watmore, if introduced correctly could be a key player for us over the next few seasons

Defoe may be getting Advocaat's back up by complaining about being played out of position but he has a point. Lens and Defoe could work very nicely, the goal against Swansea showed that they have real potential to score goals - which is what we have been missing for a long time.

Glad to see Graham and Fletcher at least turning up, but they are not the solution and everybody knows that.
PvA could and should move up but we need a really solid replacement for him. Back to Lee Congerton I'm afraid.

I see where your coming from however lens himself has said he prefers to play out wide. with pva you either play him and hope he improves or drop him and get a new lb in. we do need a striker in to partner Defoe. and lastly I totally agree about watmore

I hear we are linked with Jason Denayer, my friend from north of the border told me last season that he made Van Dijk look a lot better than he actually is. He can play CB or LB so that would be a better defensive option than PVA. Not that I think we will get him but you never know. I like the look of M'villa very neat and looked strong on saturday. Still need a striker, I admire Grahams work rate but he simply isn't good enough.

Van dijk had a stinker against malmo. Papers say that dick is not interested in Denayer, a shame if that's true. Would be a great addition. Our whole back four are shocking.

Team prediction/hopes for Norwich?
I'd go something like:
Pantilimon
Matthews. Kaboul. O'Shea. PVA

Rodwell. Cattermole

Lens. Giaccherini

Defoe. Fletcher

Bench: mannone, Coates, M'Vila, larsson,
Watmore (🙏), Mandron (Why not?), Graham
Couldn't decide between catts or seb, so went for who I think would be most likely.

M'vila instead of catts and watmore instead of rodwell.

Pantillimon

Matthews. Coates. O'Shea. PVA.
M'Vila. Cattermole.
Watmore. Giaccherini. Lens
Fletcher/Mandron (On fire)

Bench: Mannone. Kaboul. Larsson (Sub at 60th min). Defoe (If doesn't go to plan go to 4-4-2). Graham. Rodwell. Fletcher/Mandron

I know it won't happen but this team has a balance between defense and attack, more counter attacking with 4 offensive players. I would be very interested to see how this team would pan out

Maybe give van aanholt one more chance, while its still early, then if there's no improvements, Jones has experience at left back, and yedlin or Matthews could probably play there. Personally I think that premier league fullbacks should be able to play either side, it's not difficult.

well, lescott was told he can leave once the baggies signed another centre back. Would've preferred Evans, but lescott with the right partner could possibly still cut it
