An improved performance today but still cannot find a win. It has come to the stage where we must try something different up front, especially at home. How about trying 2 up front? It is a worrying start and anyone who thinks different should take a look at the fixtures in November.

The fact is that it doesn't matter what formation we play - the team is simply not good enough. Those people who were posting on this site stating that we had done well in the transfer window have now gone very quiet. The fact is that we have now got a worse starting eleven than last year - it could be argued that we have replaced like for like other than Borini but that equals worse. There was a massive rebuilding job needed but it cannot be argued that we have done well in the transfer window. There were two areas crying out for improvement - a goal scoring centre forward and a centre half. We haven't signed a centre forward at all and only signed a fourth choice Liverpool centre half on loan who was injured for most of the last season. I don't say this as I like to be negative - it is not the right option just to prestend everything in the house is rosey when clearly it is not
