Really? I agree we want Fletcher back once he's ready but that's about all I can agree with!

What would fletcher have done any different up front on his own the guy has no pace can't hold the ball up and his link up play is sh**e good thing about fletcher is him knowing where the goal is. altidore has now played 2 games in the hardest league in Europe what were you expecting 2 hat tricks give him the service and i'm sure he will score goals. as for ji he played well yesterday he maybe should have done better with his chance but his ball through to altidore was top drawer give him the games and he will come good.

One thing about fletcher could do which altidore isn't doing at the moment. Is to get the majority of his shots on target.

Today's game just goes to show that our midfield isn't good enough. Sess was rubbish as was Ji don't know what people see in Ji too lightweight and just not good enough. We need to get rid of Sess, Ji, Gardner. If we sign ki then god help us. I think we should go all out and get Milner he's just what we need in midfield

A very angry sunderland supporter after that utter shambles will somebody let di canio know that playing Gardner cm is affectively like playing with 10 men I thought I could see snail mark's on the pitch at one point. Gripe no2 I know sess was poor in the first half but what has ji shown us (man city goal apart) that he can play as 1 a central striker 2 a no 10 or man in the hole or 3 a left midfielder/winger because I can tell you all right know that he ain't any good in any of them position's and won't make it here at sunderland this league is far to fast and physical for him gripe 3 at this point were leading in the game but heavily being over run in the midfield you look to your bench and see cabal (if not fit shouldn't be on the bench) or Vaughan there who do you pick the combative one with good stamina or the slow and weak one with a nice 5-10 yard pass (I will not explain which is which) have a guess which one our tactical genius choose's gripe 4 hope we haven't another manager who because he's spent a substantial fee on a striker will play him regardless how poor he is performing I hope I'm wrong but I know it's just 2 competitive game's but I am a little worried and disappointed with the commitment in front of goal from altidore for the size of him seem's very reluctant to challenge for 1 header's and 2 get himself into the box and on the end of crosses seem's to hold back and not get himself in the thick of it risking a knock but ultimately getting himself a goal and finally di canio take's off the only player comfortable in possession of the ball and weaken's our midfield in the process a lot of very perplexing decision's from him to day I would have been happy with a point before hand and a positive performance but it was back to the dark time's of last season today I'm afraid to say. Nothing like last season. Dominated the whole 90 minutes against Fulham. Barely managed that for 9 minutes against any team. May not have dominated midfield today but how many teams in the whole league will manage that let alone come away with any points. On top of that we have a new team that are gelling. Lastly- 2 games in. Just 2. Signings still to be made and our best striker back shortly. So take your negativity where it is more appropriate- the mags page for example. I have already seen vast improvements. Di Canio just needs time.

Yeah you've gone on a bit, ok, Gardner, and Vauhan, have both probably had their days in midfield, Sess also not at the races. But can't see your critisism of Altidore. With Ji I thought he did ok, won a lot of headers, looking stronger as the game went on. All about opinions I guess.

My opinion oshea gives away too many stupid free kicks and is not good enough, gardner is poor apart from his shot and penalties, vaughan too slow and doesn't like passing forwards, larsson good crossing but is slow and getting worse, ji is getting a little better, wickham looked ok when he came on and the persons slating altidore the lad was isolated again, sess is off after that awful 1st half and good riddance, good news cabral will start next game for gardner and hopefully bradley will come in to partner him and get a left back but colback does decent a left back, we were poor yesterday but a point at southampton is a good result but still think osvaldo should of been sent off for a 2nd yellow and that was just before their goal

1-1 is probably a fair result.
According to Cammy our defense was solid today which is a positive. Off the mark on the points tally. A good point away from home. Who do we have next in the league?

Thought diakite was very good also oshea. Diakite threw himself into everything thought it was odd no cabral, maybe carrying a knock ?

Rating the players on 1-10 wot would it be, eg. Colback=7, Gardner=3 etc

Westwood 9 celutska 8 oshea 5 diakite 8 colback 7 giach 8 gardner 3 larsson 4 johnson 6 sess 2 altidore 7, subs ji 6 wickham 7 vaughan 6, that is the way I see it and in my eyes the poor rated players need to go 5 and under

Disappointing to concede so late but I would have taken 1-1 before the game. Conceded from 2 headers already - something certainly to work on. I didn't get to the game but from what I'm hearing another decent performance.}
