I am reading the posts below and find it hard to believe some of the comments so here are my views: -

Firstly, YES we are still in the relegation dogfight. We are only 2 points above the relegation places and the three league matches after Hull are Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool all away from home.

That however is the only negative I will post!

The team now has a belief an confidence to win matches. I was at the Stoke match and though we were very poor performance wise. However, we won the game and got the required 3 points. We have played much better in matches this season and lost so at this stage I will take poor performance and points any day.

We have made 5 transfer ins. I would buy Alonso now! Solid, reliable and competent defender. Bridcutt was solid in his debut (although the opposition were s*** mind :-p) so will be a good foil for Cattermole for the DM role. The keeper and centre half are just back up so not sure we will see much of them and Scocco hasn't played yet so can't comment. I am hoping he is good though :-)

Along with these I would also sign Ki to be used in a more offensive midfield role, I would teach Borinis work ethic to every player, and Altidore might not score many but his link up play is improving and a goal or two might just see him take off.

Poyet has us playing keep ball football, organised when we don't have it, and counter attacking with intent. If we continue to play with the current belief and confidence there is no reason we will not stay up. He can then look to move on the deadwood in the summer and strengthen with player to fit our new style of play.

Overall then we must be positive but realistic and as fans support the team fully.

And by the way, in case you didn't know. We're going to Wembley :-)

I'm guessing it was my cautious note that sparked this.

I agree with all you say but there are two things that are troubling me at the moment:
- We are yet to put in a decent home performance against a side around us. We are better suited to counter-attacking football which in turn is better suited to playing away from home. It will be our home form between now and the end of the season that determines our fate, starting with Hull this weekend.
- A few comments from players, staff and supporters hint at the eye being taken off the ball. I'm all for enjoying the moment and what a moment we are having but we have to keep going until the end of the season.

So sorry to see Kinnear go.
Pratdew is funny, but Kinnear was hilarious.
