Reports out of Italy are linking Sunderland with a sensational move for Liverpool flop Alberto Aquilani.
Aquilani has only just returned to Anfield after a loan period in Italy with Juventus and while it was thought that a permanent deal was in the pipeline, nothing materialised. Aquilani has since returned to Anfield, however that has not stopped the speculation.
Sunderland have been a little busy recently and their spending spree does not look like it is stopping any time soon and the Black Cats are reportedly confident of springing a surprise and securing Aquilani s signature

Does anyone know the story with Defoe and N'Zogbia? Sunderland have said they are not making bids but the pair have 100% been staying at Seaham Hall. {Ed016's Note - N'zogbia reiterated he was nowhere near seaham and was in Chesire where he lives Defoe has been in training with Spurs all week so sorry they have been nowhere near sunderland i would love to see them here but it doesnt look like happening}

when they get desperate they will give him big wages (just like greeedy bent)

all we need now is a proven pl striker and left back
defoe and bridge maybe i would try for Leighton Baines cos everton need the cash.
4 yr deal for brown and oshea was maybe to much but that was the carrot needed to help sign them

gibsons move has stalled cos he wants almost DOUBLE his man u wages. Out of the 3 man u players we were linked with, gibson was the 1 most mufc wanted rid of and since we signed brown & oshea the manc fans have left goodwill/respect mgs to them both. Basically we got the 2 man u defenders we really wanted, so gibson "DO 1" n go sign for the goon army cos we don't want you. FTM
