Whatever happened to Yann M'vila and DeAndre Yedlin? Are they coming, or what?

Morpethian

1.) 19 Aug 2016 00:00:56
Now Kaboul is going! one has to question whether Kone and Kaboul would have stayed if Big Sam was still here? do these players want to play under Moyes? and what is the real reason these players want to leave? . the timing of these players leaving is embarrassing! we as a club are becoming a laughing stock! whos next to leave Defoe? and where are the players ere promised?

2.) 19 Aug 2016 10:13:11
Yedlin to Villa for £3 million? why can't we do that?

3.) 20 Aug 2016 09:48:55
Kaboul leaving is not for football reasons, his child has been ill for a while now and he's made the decision to return to London so his child can get the care they need. as for m'villa, personal terms are agreed and as good as signed, however His club want £6mil for a player who's contract runs out at Christmas, so Sunderland feel £6mil is a bit pricey for a player they could sign for free in less than 6 months. and onto kone, notes wants him to stay and feels he is a key member of the defence (which he so obviously is) however, he wanted to sort out new players coming in before offering a new contract as he believed Kone was willing to wait until the window rubbish to get a new contract, his hand has now been forced by Everton and the contract has been offered (something around £50,000 a week) now the choice is with Kone.

4.) 20 Aug 2016 10:49:05
M'vila is apparently on a pre-contract for Jan, hopefully they'll realise that some money now is better than none in Jan.

As for Yedlin, hopefully they're still working towards him, however it seems since we've tried for a few (allegedly) so who knows at this point. 11 days left or so, we need a good 4 players shesh never easy being a Sunderland fan.

5.) 23 Aug 2016 18:31:20
lol this must be a joke Yedlin , he's in newcastle now having a med that just tells us all we are penny pinching club its the same every season paper talk nothing else we never sign the players we link with the best is still to come yet lens sold on thursday, kone next then we sign some bloke from championship for a mil roll on this season top 10 lol.

We are so slow at the back!

Morpethian

1.) We need someone like Richards
Fast, strong, good in air and can concentrate, whereas Roberge is none of those things

07 Aug 2014 19:42:48
Now one source says he's on the move to us and will have his medical shortly!

Morpethian

1.) 07 Aug 2014 20:42:11
give us a clue

2.) 07 Aug 2014 21:01:09
To whom do you refer?

07 Aug 2014 16:54:21
Interesting - I just checked out the Liverpol FC website and the Liverpool FC section of News Now (which aggregates reports from all sources) and there is no mention of Borini anywhere. Its like he has disappeared or doesn't exist. what's going on?

Morpethian

1.) 07 Aug 2014 18:47:39
Perhaps he is at Seaham Hall lol!. I see Vergini has signed for a season loan pity its not permanent!

{Ed024's Note - I was too convinced last season - bit hit and miss. Obviously Poyet sees something so I hope I'm proved wrong.}

2.) Borini will sign within 48 hours which has been reported on the Liverpool news now in the last hour

3.) One website which is called lfc day trippers says borini is to have a medical, don't know if this is an old article or how they have found out this news before any other news source but acc to them he's on the brink of joining us

4.) 07 Aug 2014 23:39:58
Ed Vergini was outstanding for us when he was switched to right back but like Altidore and Roberge who I think both will do a good job this season its an important few months of their Sunderland careers! Time will tell!

20 Jul 2014 15:37:31
If there's any doubt, check out the LFC website. He (Borini) is shown as one of their squad on the official website. Methinks Mr Rodgers speaks with forked tongue.

What worries me is I don't think we are being treated with respect.

Morpethian

1.) I think we should tell mr borini where to go. I was happy to hear we'd bid and had it accepted, I do feel he would improve us but if he has to think about it ie hope for someone else to come in for him then drop him straight away bring in someone who wants to play for the club. deluded little Italian. he was nothing at Chelsea or Liverpool and he thinks he's too good for us. think not fabio

2.) How does he think he's too good for us?!?!

He wants to prove he isn't a flop at Liverpool, good on him, and even though Liverpool is buying more forwards he still wants to prove his point and not throw in the towel
AND/OR, your going off the, he's turned us down rumour, how so we know, Poyet said he is going to make negotiations with him and other rumours themselves are saying that he forced the move

If he joins get in!
If he doesn't, good look to the lad because he deserves his chance to show how good he is for a top, top team

When I was texting someone about Moyes my spellcheck changed his name to "Moses". So we know who's going to lead us to the promised land don't we?

Cheer up lads - think positive. When were we last two places above Arsenal in the table?

Morpethian

Hello everyone, you probably haven't seen me before but I have been on here a while and thoroughly enjoy reading your posts. I think it is time for me to have my share on what is going on. First of all, what happened on Saturday, usually I would say to others 'well that didn't surprise me', but after the statements made on Advocaats 2nd arrival, I was surprised, very, surprised. Not even Pantiloom could save us from that! The whole team was abysmal, something has to be changed, perhaps the whole team should be changed for next week (the majority of them), they showed no effort on the pitch and had no hunger to win the game, they showed a little promise in the 2nd half, the key word being promise, not quality, not awesomeness, promise.

Now, Lee Congerton, what is this man doing? Raking his arse and counting sheep? YES! In the past fortnight we have had 1/2 rumours which actually make sense, M'vila, and Januzaj. Yes Januzaj has creativity but it will not solve our apalling defense. We also need another striker to fit the 4-3-3 formation. 4-3-3 doesn't work, we are not versatile. The most suited formation for us is likely a 4-2-3-1, Catts needs someone with him.

I think the team should be offered some hungry players, therefore bring in the youth, they seem to be doing great, and Mandron is on fire. I wouldn't mind the team to look like this :-

Pantillimon
Matthews
Coates
O'Shea (c)
Van Aanholt/Tom Robson
Cattermole
M'vila
Watmore
Giaccerini/Januzaj (If he completes loan deal soon)
Lens
Fletcher/Mandron

Fletcher or Mandron should be used, both are great target men. Anyway, that is my thoughts. Please give me feedback :D

2.) 11 Aug 2015 11:21:48
welcome to the world of posting britjackk! agree with you about the performance we were abysmal. a lot of people including myself have been pleading for watmore to be given game time but for some reason dick won't.
fletcher in my opinion should be no where near our first team if we are talking about quality. a new striker should be brought in to partner Defoe up front with mandron as cover. 4-3-3 does not work purely because we are left to bare defensively especially when van annholt and Jones aren't the strongest defensively. we need the two cover midfielders with the squad we have.

3.) 11 Aug 2015 18:59:51
thats a good team selection I would like to see I would go with graham as a front man as he holds the ball up well and although not a scorer using graham gives the midfield lads the chance to get forward

Recent statements in the press make me very frustrated:

1. "Fabio is holding us up a bit" - Gus Poyet
2. Sunderland can't afford the 15m price tag for Danny Welbeck.

What the (expletive deleted) is going on?

Morpethian

27 Jul 2014 18:31:43
Remy failed his medical. That's probably why Rodgers has been stalling on Borini?

Morpethian

1.) Fee agreed not Rodgers stalling it's Borini

2.) Remy anyone?

3.) Wages too much - we would need a 14 man squad to fit him in to the wage budget.

24 Jul 2014 02:00:39
Rodgers started Borini in Boston and he got a dislocated shoulder after 12 mins. What stupidity! Sometimes things work out for the best - we don't want damaged goods do we? I think the duplicitous Mr Rodgers will have some explaining to do to his management. that's $14m you just wasted Brendan!

Lets go with Danny and stop messing about with Borini. You can't fault Danny on commitment and who knows where Borini's loyalties lie?

I agree 100%. I don't know why Fletcher is playing. He's either unfit, uncommitted, or something worse!
