why would yilmaz come from galatasaray to sunderland sitting bottom of the premier league. bridcutt I expect to sign and i'm sure there is interest in buckley but he is injured so I highly doubt it (in january). Where have you heard about Das Bost and Kaboul? I suspect we don't have 8 million to spend unless fletcher goes, in which case the money will HAVE to go on a striker because regardless of anyones opinion on Altidore we will not stay up with him as our only recognized striker.
It appears ToonMatt is also deluded in his english language capabilities. Just because a player is not performing in England does not mean he cannot perform in different systems/leagues. Ji clearly has technical ability and it is common knowledge sunderland turned down a 5m bid in the summer from BVB. He is simply too lightweight for the EPL, I have also heard that BVB want him in january as his contract expires in the summer and it will be very cheap for them.

I highly doubt alfie will be recalled, he was a martin oneill signing and i'm pretty sure with Ki, cattermole and potentially bridcutt plus colback et al he will not be back in january, partly due to the fact it would cost us money.
Defoe will NEVER come to sunderland, he will not come up north this rumour comes up every year.
I would expect 2-3 signings from the championship, nothing that will break the bank. perhaps Bridcutt and that young defender from forrest and perhaps one other. It will be exciting nevertheless but let's just focus on beating norwich for now. FTM
