SSN is reporting that Poyet is trying close to signing three Argentine players. Scocco, Vergini and Andujar (hope the spelling is correct). I don't know anything about them but considering their nationality you would imagine they would be better suited to the style of play that Poyet is trying to implement.
These three players combined with Bridcutt and Buckley would seem like good business. Hopefully.
1.) Andujar-GK
Argentina sub goalie, probably a little better than Mannone but not a huge difference
Vergini-CB
Solid player, good in the tackle, tall so good in the air, BRILLIANT passing and vision, can grab a few goals and very good on the ball
Barcelona was pondering a move in the summer so he will be good!
Scocco-ST
Very good striker, very capable in anything, first time, volley, header etc he hasn't been brilliant for internacional but has a very good scoring record, good player
2.) Need a Solid midfielder NOW
I would suggest Manuel Fernandez, linked in summer but I doubt we'd go for him which is a shame
3.) We were linked with scocco last summer and I was pretty gutted we didn't get this guy. If we get him and he transforms his form into the premiership we will be staying up this season. No worries
4.) I assume its Poyet rather than De Fanti that's choosing the players now?
