Thought I had heard the last of the silly platitudes now that GP has gone, but no, I've heard that if we stay up vergini is in line for a two year contract!if this is the sort of ambition our club is going to show going forward then God help us.For a player who perhaps has one good game in ten, he is simply not good enough no matter what division we end up in.

I agree 100% the club needs to learn that you have to spend money to bring in some quality! Also can't go getting players in on frees and expecting them to keep us up, we are lacking in all areas!

More bizarre comments from Poyet, apparently he is delighted with a rejuvenated Danny graham, how many goals has he scored, how many assists has he made.Think he should put his name forward for the manager of the England cricket team, once he has been sacked of coarse.

Well in cricket Poyets position would be silly point ! lol I just hope next weekend he puts in one or two of the youngsters and inject some pace and life into our team but I fear we will be bored to death and instruct the players not to venture into the Villa half or hell drop them if they do !!

Well said Bob stokoe, can't think of a single player I would keep even if we end up in the championship, but I would include management in the clear out.
Now let's get real, yesterday's performance was a shambles, the midfield were totally inadequate, the defence just awful, vergini looks like he's playing on roller skates and will someone tell oshea that's its legal to jump.If we escape this season it will because of three teams are unbelievably worse than us.Burnley despite their loss are looking a good side so if they get on a roll we will be in trouble.Lets hope and pray that our new manager can work a miracle.
Couldn't agree more with lessthan88, although his comments on whickham are true, they easily apply to virtually the whole squad.Ive supported this great club since the early 50s and can honestly say that apart from a couple of seasons under Reid and one under kean this must rank as one of the poorest teams we've ever put together.Whatever league we eventually end up in next season we have to have wholesale changes to the way our club is run.Ive no doubt Poyet is a decent man but he is totally out of his depth and should go, along with most of those responsible for our current situation, 40,000 fans deserve better.If the structure doesn't undergo change then you can rest assured we will have this discussion season after season.
Think that safcintheusa has had a bang on the head if he thinks that poyets tactics "have stopped the rot".Get real folks this annual battle against relegation isn't going to stop unless we can recruit some decent players, which currently given our situation is difficult.Ive advocated for some time that we should be looking to attract the best talent available in the lower and scottish leagues.I live in hope that we win tomorrow, push on, and prove me wrong.
