I do not think Sunderland would have been relegated under Martin O'neil.

It was MON team that beat Newcastle, all you needed was a couple of wins to stay up.

Look at where you are now, ask yourself, would you have these few points this season under MON?

Would MON have signed a load of deadwood, or kept to his policy of attempting to spend more on a bit of quality.

Sacking MON could turn out to be the biggest mistake you never knew happened at Sunderland.

1.) This summer
14 new players=5m in total spent

2.) Marxymarx you must be related to the fraud of the man because MON was a disgrace. The worst football I've witnessed and his arrogant attitude was embarassing. We'd already be in the Championship and next season league 1 under him.

3.) Well only one thing I can say in defence of mon is the crap he inherited from steve bruce was his downfall. also his negative tactics was dire to watch and would have def took us down. pdc came along and did what he had to do and lift the confidence in the sh**e he inherited to keep us up, but player power got him the sack. now poyet comes along gets the same response (also against the mags) and then everton but he now realises like mon and pdc how poor the squad is bought by bruce. until we get a good clear out I can see no improvement in the club

4.) I was never a fan of brucey bein our manager. you can't slag off his team when they give us our best positions in the league and bein fighting relegation ever since. i'm not sayin bring back brucey but facts are facts.

5.) Disagree norsky bruce brought these players in gave them long contracts on silly money and now we are stuck with them. where will we be able to sell any off them on I would like a reply on who will buy the likes of Larsson gardener Vaughan o'shea brown Cattermole and whickham. as for facts the best finishes we had was under reid

6.) What's the point in talking about mon and what ifs? That's not going to get us anywhere. We will just see how we go the rest of the season, if we go down then we will deal with it but if you ask me we are playing a lot better football than we were a couple of weeks ago so that's a bit of a bonus.

7.) My reply is I agree who will buy these players they are championship quality but the point i'm making is its still the same team now barring a few new faces (excluding pdc's 14) he got better out of them than mon pdc all be itpoyet is startin to turn things around to little to late. just a little fecked off with our run off things what ever happens I will b red and white till I die.
