How is it players don't want to come to Sunderland but go to Newcastle and hull, not miles apart so can't be the weather, our club just do not want to pay premier league wages, poyet said players don't want to come because its colder and they want to be in London, well Dawson has just left London for hull for gods sake shape up Sunderland or we will be back to being a championship team if you want to be in premiership spend premiership money, the fans do.

{Ed024's Note - Dawson ? Not the greatest example - neither Sunderland nor Newcastle wanted him. With the possible exception of Huddleston cant think of any players in the last couple of seasons that chose Hull or Newcastle over Sunderland. Geography is certainly a problem for all three clubs but wages, length of contract etc all come into the players decision making as well.}

1.) I am just sick of the lack of activity we have had in this transfer window, we needed players in more than any other time and when we need them the most we don't buy, same old sunderland always linked with someone but never actually happens same old bull**** different day, just got to wait and see but can't see much happening now, get our 14 million back of Borini cause he is just taking the piss now

2.) The time to panic (or not) is next Tuesday morning. Being linked with a player in the newspapers or Sky's"our sources tell us" doesn't mean it's true.

How when colback played at Sunderland never thought of for england goes to mags and gets called up, is it got to do with playing for Sunderland you won't get an england call

1.) Yeah colback? What about Catts? How does that work? Does Roy Hodgson know safc exsists??

{Ed024's Note - With Lampard and Gerrard retiring there was always likely to be some surprises. Add in injuries to the likes of Barkley, Carrick and Lallana, then Delph and Colback have hit a bit lucky.
With a hugely disappointing World Cup Hodgson needs to avoid controversy so with Catts reputation he wont even be considered.
Bet Poyet doesn't mind thou - less chance of him picking up an injury !}

where do you get that we don't pay premiership wages. The reason we are stuck with the likes of Danny Graham Cabral Diakite and others is the fact that they are on to high wages and are in no hurry to move on as others clubs can't pay them. Also the majority of our deals under short are with the fee being paid In full.
