I can't understand why buckley didn't start why giaccherini only gets 15 mins why wickham on the left why gomez didn't feature and why fletcher is still at the club

I think Giaccherini is being eased back from injury . mind i'd start him and give him a good hour!
2.) Wick was on the left out of our forwards he's the only one who can actually play there with any ability, giac was injured & they didn't want to risk him, fletch is our best forward which isn't saying much at all, no clue about gomez.

Only 3 days to Gus,s deadline for 4 new faces . looks like tuesday is going to be a busy day or Congerton is going to be beheaded lol!
2.) You see although I am as frustrated with the lack of activity as the rest of you, it does'nt make good business sense to sack either Congerton or Poyet. As I have stated previously the man who comes out repeatedly and undermines the Sporting Director in the press by stating he is desperate for players. I personally think he should be the one to watch his back.

I hate to come on here and be negative and I won't mention the topic on everyone's lips but forgive me if i'm wrong are we struggling to put together the team that narrowly avoided the drop last year as I for one don't see a massive improvement in the squad
i know we suffered injuries to key players but we havn't gone after anyone who makes me think my god I hope we get him or am I alone in that

100% agree. Things need to change and fast as the season starts in few weeks. Why try to buy the same players that almost took us down. Wise up Sunderland or this time we might not be so lucky. More quality please!

lots of sites saying he has signed, Gus on ssn saying its done deal and then there's a photograph of him (supposedly ) boarding a flight to the states with the rest of the Liverpool team the picture of him boarding the plane is from the rear and could be my next door neighbour for all I know.
if and remember its all rumor and speculation, he has gone to the states with Liverpool then that is a clear sign he dosnt want to come with us.

gents I agree with both but my statement was made on the understanding that the purse strings have been pulled tight and I doubt we will get anyone to make significant difference at the back on loan today

If the purse strings are tight john I just hope these rumours about buckly going to bornemouth, mannone to boro and fletcher to hull come to fruition. Then we might get a lb and cb. It would make our season much more promising. If not, come jan we could be up that famous creak without a paddle.

Again with the I buy a ticket, so what you pay for a ticket what do you think you have contributed not even a weeks wage for a under 21 I agree with most of what you say but like your opinion buying a ticket is your choice so don't buy 1 then think your are owed something in return I buy a lottery ticket very week knowing there's a good chance I won't get anything back it's the chance you take as a supporter all I ask is that other so called supporters stop with all the negativety the media are doing enough of that get behind the team like they did today and there will be a massive improvement

we have an opinion and how you choose to voice or show your opinion is your choice we sell out very away game allocation and have near capacity crowds every home game all we want is some effort and a bit of gumption chase the ball harras defenders push up look like you interested for gods sake don't turn up looking like we are already beat the fans of this club have always ben behind the club and we sufer the most
i was 6 in 73 and hooked from then I cried when roker park closed I protested at the new name I have sang my heart out and clapped till my hand hurt I couldn't speak for hours after gi scored against city in the dying seconds don't call me fickle I simply have my own mind and I am sunderland

Couldn't.t agree more John,the fan's at this club for the most part are superb,we don,t expect world beaters just a team that reflects our passion and our region,hard working,honest,grafters who aren't afraid of digging in when the chips are down,many of us would give our right arm to represent this club,the fans aren't fickle we only ask that the players who represent our club at least are seen to be triers

i was totally gobsmacked when I saw we were looking at wijnaldum for 15 million and then I see we arnet interested but looking at junior hoilett for 2.5 million and my faith in sunderland is restored the board haven't gone mad same mediocre ambition thank god

Well if yesterdays performance was anything to go by i will drive to liverpool and bring borini back myself
we were shocking borini was by far better than anything we could throw at him that is possibly the worst display i have seen for a long time
there are no positives to take away from this and to cap it all alvarez who was unavailable due to illness was on the bench what's that all about wasted seat on the bench for me and gus bargain basement shopping rarely pays off

Borini has not once said yes I will come and then change his mind he has openly stated he wants to fight for his place at liverpool.
this kind of attitude has to be commended I for one am pissed off at the amount of time and publicity taken over this transfer or non transfer but give him some credit

What is wrong with wanting to play top flight football and wanting to fight for your place at one of the biggest clubs in england, granted things didn't go his way and you can argue he's not top flight but you can't knock him for effort and let's face it look at what we have had to put up with gomez buckley rodwell give me borini any day over these clowns with lens mvilla toivonen and borini in the midfield things could just bring a glimmer of hope back to the stadium of light
