januzai on his way to safc on loan source manchester news. a bit of brightness comes our way.

Will be interesting to see if he does come how will his behaviour be? A lot of united fans are saying they glad he is going due to his awful attitude.

if dick goes bring in big sam or dyche. we need to bring in defenders who can defend, our attack will come good but its our leaky defence, got to look at a couple of players who have no clubs at the moment, coates and pva are having shockers and if it continues then we may be relegated we can't afford to wait till next transfer window

Big Sam for me to mate. He'll get us defending well and instill some discipline. The attack will take care of its self

I think if we get Borini on loan for the season and we have a good one he will sign a permanent deal, he just needs to get the CL out of his thoughts and realise that Brendan Rodgers does not want him in his first 15 never mind 11.
Kalou would be a good addition, I would love us to sign Hernandez from MU if we could, this would only be a loan deal in my poinion as I think Welbeck will go Spurs.
I would like to see Mica Richards to come in our defence to add more steel but this one won't happen for us and I hope he does not go to the barcodes.

supposidly 3 signings due to happen, I think they are all loans, my guess is Kalou, Sinclair and a defender which I hope is Dawson but probably not, anyone else have any ideas. . 1-0 to the Lads today is my prediction

largey

{Ed024's Note - I'd take a point.}

1.) Dawson off to Hull and were 1-0 down. I'd change your crystal ball!

2.) He said "hope" not "will" and we're 1-1 ;)

3.) 24 Aug 2014 19:14:32
One defender is the minimum needed- lucky point today because United as inept as we were. But surely Poyet can see that neither O'Shea nor Brown are fast enough in thought or action to play out from the back? Brown was particularly slow and careless, and his sloppiness could have cost two goals against better opposition. We need someone much more comfortable on the ball at the heart of the defence. We also need to stop clearing crosses and set-pieces into the unoccupied zone we leave in front of the penalty box- again a better side might have made more of the number of times the ball was gifted into this area. But Buckley and Rodwell promising, and VA and Vergini showed they have the pace we lack in the centre. Come Congerton, a couple of sensible signings could make us quite competitive!

4.) Browns positional play is 2nd to none. there's not many fast centre halves around, would you like Mertasacker or Senderos. I guess you would take Brown any day. I would

Totally fed up with our lack of signings now, every player who seems like they would be a good buy go elsewhere and Borini looks dead in water, what I thought would be a good transfer window for us is now a mediocre one. The Mags have done a lot of business and by all accounts are not finished, don't like to say but it may be another season of struggle as our squad is nowhere near big enough

largey

1.) 22 Aug 2014 12:09:10
oh, has the transfer window shut over night or something? just I thought it shut on September 1st and there seems to be a lot of negativity from impatient people who think they know how to be a manager and think transfers are as easy as 'oh I like him let's get him'. there is absolutely no point judging the squad now. if you want to winge at least wait till the window is shut

2.) 22 Aug 2014 12:47:04
The fact that LFC are getting Balotelli for £16m whilst there is a £14m bid accepted for Borini is ridiculous. That £14m should have been spent elsewhere in this window already to improve the squad with additions all around the pitch including defenders and a striker. For £14m we could easily have 3-4 new additions to the team. But instead we are hanging around Borini who is rated at £2m less than Balotelli. Now that, to me, shows the utter lack of transfer business. We should have given Liverpool and Borini a deadline of 2 weeks after the fee was agreed and if he didn't join by then, we move on.

3.) I will hold judgement until after the window has closed but that doesn't mean I can't or won't get worried before then.

I just can't see where our next signing is coming from; the only rumours I am hearing is this 30 year-old striker playing in Brazil who sounds worryingly like Scocco.

Not heard anything about a defender and I think we need two in this week.

Here's hoping there are one or two rabbits Lee and Gus are about to pull from their hat!

4.) Totals agree with largey and FlamingGinja. Our Transfer activities is poor to say the least and still we wait for Borini at the rediculous Fee of 14 Mill. Sort it out Gus and soon!

5.) 22 Aug 2014 19:06:31
the only annoying thing from me is that other clubs seem to have no trouble recruiting players yet we are still waiting! what's Congerton doing?? very little apparently!

why are safc not looking at bony from man c. we want a striker. if we sell kone then its a massive set back before we have kicked a ball. januazi would be a good buy as well. more believable than the lad we were supposed to sign for 25 million.25 million when we won't sign m'villa for 5 million. RELEGATION BATTLE AGAIN. thank you mr short. massive cash influx from tv and what happens. limited funds. rant over from a worried fan.

Why do people not want borini, he said he was going to try and get in Liverpool starting 11 but failed, Liverpool are a bigger club than my beloved safc, that is a fact, we need a striker and borini did a good job last time he was here and if rumours are true and he is on his way then I am happy, if rumours are false then we should worry as we can't seem to get players signed I would also take Nolan good midfielder, sell carts. liability you can't piggy back opposing players in your box and get away with it.

1.) 31 Aug 2015 07:36:18
I agree
What is wrong with wanting to play top flight football and wanting to fight for your place at one of the biggest clubs in england, granted things didn't go his way and you can argue he's not top flight but you can't knock him for effort and let's face it look at what we have had to put up with gomez buckley rodwell give me borini any day over these clowns with lens mvilla toivonen and borini in the midfield things could just bring a glimmer of hope back to the stadium of light

2.) 31 Aug 2015 08:53:56
Agree too. He can do a job for us, 4 mill cheaper too. Just have to forget all the drama,s that went on before. Would any safc supporter have believed that bornemouth is a more attractive proposition than us. De guzman thinks so. In a way, I am pleased. I like the look of toivenan and we know what borini can do. As for charlie austin going to bornemouth, I will be gutted. He would be ideal for us. We need a hero, just like super kev and marco.

3.) 31 Aug 2015 11:40:17
I don't mind borini but how can you value a player at 10 mil who has only played a handful of games in the past few seasons and only has a year left on his contract? bemuses me where that valuation comes from

4.) 31 Aug 2015 11:51:03
Agree with this post,by all means go for borini he gives his all and is a grafter but that's about all,he is worth nowhere near the money being quoted and as it seems Liverpool were glad to be getting rid of him maybe we had a bit more room for negotiations.

{Ed024's Note - This is one of the longest running transfer sagas in the Clubs history - no time left in this window for more negotiations.}

5.) 31 Aug 2015 16:50:46
I agree that we seemed to have been chasing borini forever ed,but I don.t agree that he was ever our 1st 2nd or even 3rd choice of striker we were looking at in this window just because Gus had a hard on for borini don.t really believe Dick had him down as a must have

6.) 31 Aug 2015 16:50:46

{Ed024's Note - I think the signings so far show that Advocaat prefers to buy players that can go straight into first team - Kaboul, Lens, Mvila, Coates.
So I believe that he must have been very keen on Borini - I expect him to be in the first team after a brief settling in period.}

get alonso in at lb, push pva to the wing, hopefully we will get a striker who scores a few, get shot of graham, he tries but does not score full stop

largey

1.) 29 Aug 2015 16:37:31
Alonso won't come, pva can't cross for toffee, unless he figures out how to be a defender again I'd not play him, then again who else do we have who we could play? ugh, lb needed, and if he's not going to use whatmore, we need a right winger to shore up that side as they go up and down there like it's a joke.

2.) 29 Aug 2015 20:50:10
Agree with all of the above but for me please rid this club of Clattermole,how he gets by at this club is a mystery to me.How many more points is this Knacker going to cost this club?How on earth does he even get a game?

3.) 30 Aug 2015 11:13:39
gotta admit catts impressed me last season but after the way he gave a penalty away yesterday it looks like he is back to his old ways. who would buy him and who would replace him

4.) 30 Aug 2015 18:32:08
Never thought I would ever say "drop catts", but his last four performances have been of a very poor standard. He is not protecting the defence and his school boy errors are giving goals away. Give the lad a run out in the under 21s to get his confidece back. M'vila can play there and start the new lad as an attacking midfielder. Rodwell can do the box to box stuff.

17 Jun 2015 08:21:12
classie and bas dost would be 2 good signings, happy with jenkinson if we get him, if we are looking at bamford for 10 mill what about jordan rhodes from blackburn, both not proven but rhodes would be cheaper
